All traditional knowledge states that when you start anything, you always put your best foot forward. If the Ice Age: Collision Course trailer is an indication, then the best foot looks very promising. You can now take a first look at the summer of 2016’s animated release.
The people at 20th Century Fox are pretty smart when it comes to selling any type of Ice Age movies, as each teaser trailer has been focused around Scrat, the resident punching bag. His quests all revolve around his beloved acorn that takes him just about everywhere you can think of, including journeys through time and space. Many would agree that his antics make up some of the best moments in the Ice Age films. When his acorn winds up being the key to a dormant space ship, mischief soon follows, as Scrat creates the cosmos unknowingly.
Watching the poor woodland cross-breed dealing with G-forces while forming the universe as we know makes the new Ice Age trailer worth watching. As much fun it is to follow Scrat, he isn’t actually the focal point of the story. This falls upon Sid, Diego, and Manny, voiced by John Leguizamo, Denis Leary, and Ray Romano. During the four adventures across the prehistoric period, our friends have made it through just about everything that the world threw at them. Considering that the latest threat is the meteor shower that wiped out the dinosaurs, we are all wondering just how the trio will be able to get out of this sticky situation.
We should really pay attention to the story that is proper for Ice Age: Collision Course, but we can’t help but wonder just what type of trouble Scrat is going to cause in the latest film in the series. Hopefully, the stakes will get higher with each passing segment that shows the accidental anarchist, and the extinction-threatening meteor is going to be quite a hard act to follow. Which means that we will keep our eyes peeled for the next look at Scrat’s and his co-stars’ adventures. Although there is hope that our usual gang will be able to find new guides along the way, since they will require help to escape certain death from the meteor shower.
Ice Age: Collision Course will hit the theaters figuratively and literally on July 22, 2016.
